Volunteer Labor is a vital necessity in the Habitat for Humanity cause. Giving monetary gifts are also a tremendous welcome. With ample funding, we can build more affordable homes for our residents. Giving can be done in a number of ways.

Donate by Credit Card

You can donate money by credit card at the official Habitat for Humanity International website here. Be sure to click on the Orange Designate Your Gift button on the left side of the page and type Barrow County HFH in the Affiliate Name, or else the money goes directly to the larger organization. This will help the organization as a whole, but not as much as a direct donation by designating our local affiliate.

Aluminum Cans Build Habitat Houses.

Everyone knows that recycling helps the environment, but most residents are unaware that it can also help build homes in our community. Barrow County Habitat  for Humanity invites everyone interested in improving the quality of life locally, to participate in the aluminum can recycling program. We would especially like to encourage churches, civic groups, businesses, and school organizations to  help us in this endeavor. Money raised is used on local building projects.

This program is the perfect way for citizens of Barrow County to demonstrate their commitment to community services in a simple and convenient way. Just collect bags of cans and call us at 770-995-1690 or e-mail us here and we will let you know where the closest drop off  site is or arrange pickup. We have recycling containers for offices and lager ones for outside collections if you  would like to be a drop off site. Barrow County Habitat will sell the cans at a recycling center and use the money to better the lives of deserving families by helping them become homeowners.
